Two reception centres in Trøndelag is laid down – NRK

Steinkjer reception is laid down from the 1.January, while Stjørdal mottakssenter be down from 1.February. Both has 150 spaces and is operated by Hero Norway, says UDI in a press release.

the Reason is that it is come get asylum seekers to Norway this year, and many of those who came previously have been granted a residence permit and permanent residence in a municipality, or has travelled out of the country.

It is of course regrettable that jobs will be lost. Many employees with high competence, loss of a job. Reception centres and municipalities have also laid down a lot of effort to give the residents a good stay and service offerings. On the other hand, it costs society dearly to have empty asylplasser standing, says the regional director Rune Vordahl in the UDI in the Middle of Norway.

today, it became known that UDI may lay down additional 3800 places in reception centres in Norway, in addition to the 7000 places that have already been notified.

the UDI hope to avoid moving residents who have received a residence permit in Norway to a new receipt. This depends on that the forces of integration and diversity (IMDi) has managed to get bosettingskommune to the people involved, as well as that the municipality has arranged housing.

asylum seekers who need to move will, to the extent it is possible to get space on another receipt in our region. We have full understanding that many asylum seekers find it difficult to move to a new receipt, and try to make this process as gentle as possible, ” says Vordahl.

No new reception centre for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers are affected in this nedleggelsesrunden.

At the end of august in the year there was come 2248 asylum seekers to Norway, compared to 31150 in all of last year.
